Responsibilities
End-to-end ownership of architecture, implementation, and operation of AI systems
Scaling LLM/ML workloads (performance, cost, observability, guardrails)
Introducing and advancing MLOps practices (CI/CD, feature store, model registry)
Technical sparring for Strategy: effort, risk, compliance & implementation options
Code reviews, engineering standards, mentoring, and building knowledge in the team
Managing external partners/providers, security and data protection design
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software/ML engineering, of which >2 years in a leading/architectural role
Deep hands-on practice with LLM applications (RAG, tools/agents, evaluations), classic ML pipelines, and data engineering
Confident in the cloud stack (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure-as-code, observability, SRE basics
Proven experience operating security-relevant systems in production
A strong ability to translate technical complexity for business stakeholders
Excellent German and English
