Global Teams. Different Languages.

One AI solution.

In global companies, cross-border collaboration has long been part of everyday work. But one challenge remains constant: communication without language barriers. Even English, the supposed world language, is often not enough to make complex content, expertise, or discussions truly accessible to everyone involved.

The consequence: communication barriers keep arising at international events or in global teams. Classic solutions such as simultaneous interpreters are precise, but often:

  • Organizationally demanding

  • Cost-intensive

  • Only limited in scalability

With advances in generative AI, however, a new possibility opens up: AI-supported live translation in near real time.

AI as a Digital Interpreter

AI-based translation systems have shown the potential of automated language processing for several years. A major challenge of many solutions, however, has been the delay between spoken language and translated output. This is exactly where modern AI technology comes in.

Building on our experience with generative AI and voice technologies, BLACKFIELD AI has developed a solution that can translate speech in near real time and reproduce it naturally. The technology works similarly to a digital interpreter but is significantly more scalable and available at any time. The key features:

  • Live translation with minimal latency

  • Natural-sounding speech output instead of plain subtitles

  • High scalability for international applications

  • Integration into existing communication systems

The solution currently supports numerous language combinations, including:

Europe and international communication:

  • German to English

  • German to French

  • German to Spanish

  • German to Italian

  • German to Turkish

  • German to Portuguese

Asia and global markets:

  • German to Chinese

  • German to Hindi

  • German to Japanese

  • German to Korean

  • German to Vietnamese

Field Test at LogisticsConnect 2026

At LogisticsConnect 2026 in Bremen, we were able to demonstrate under real conditions how capable this technology has become. As the event's technology partner, BLACKFIELD AI implemented a live translation solution for international panels and expert talks. The goal was to make expert knowledge accessible to a global audience without delay and without language barriers.

The results in use:

  • Inference speed: around 50 ms latency, virtually imperceptible to listeners

  • Audio quality: natural speech output instead of mechanical subtitles

  • Terminology: even complex logistics content was interpreted correctly

  • Scalability: simultaneous translation into several world languages

This shows: generative AI is now capable of delivering professional, production-quality live translation.

Strategic Relevance for Companies

The use of such technologies is becoming increasingly relevant for companies. Studies show that one in five logistics companies in Germany already uses AI, while another quarter is planning to get started. Especially in internationally oriented industries, new possibilities emerge:

  • Global customer communication

  • International expert events

  • Collaboration of distributed teams

  • Knowledge transfer across language boundaries

AI-supported translation can thus become a decisive factor in making information available faster, more broadly, and more efficiently.

From Technology to Real Value

For BLACKFIELD AI, live translation is not an isolated experiment. It is part of a larger strategy: supporting companies not just in using AI, but in integrating it in a strategically meaningful way. This includes:

  • Clear goal definitions for AI projects

  • Robust governance structures

  • Scalable technological architectures

  • Measurable economic results

The implementation at LogisticsConnect shows what becomes possible when technology creates real value and improves existing processes.
